State Street's managed-account platform has named an industry veteran to lead its North American effort.
InfraHedge said that Robert Picard would fill the new post of president of InfraHedge North America. Picard has helped build hedge fund platforms at the Carlyle Group, Rock Creek Group, Optima Fund Management and RBC Capital Management. Most recently, he was at Lyxor Asset Management.

Robert A. Picard joined hedge fund manager Optima Fund Group, New York, as director of research. He replaces Alan Cheng, who left in early February. Mr. Picard was a managing director and worked on the hedge fund-of-funds team at Carlyle Asset Management Group, Washington, until September, when his duties were assumed by others on the team, said Afsaneh Mashayekhi Beschloss, chief executive officer and chief investment officer.
